Coquitlam Snow Angel

Be a Snow Angel!

December 28, 2016 - 10:16 am

Snow accumulation this December has created a number of problems for Lower Mainland residents.

And with the possibility of even more snow, the big concern now is clearing catch basins to allow melting snow a chance to drain. That's why the city is urging Coquitlam residents to help elderly neighbours with shovelling, and setting out and retrieving waste carts.

If you wish, Coquitlam City Hall has a Snow Angel program every winter that you can join. The Snow Angels can be anyone who wishes to volunteer to help make our City's sidewalks safer for those in need. Once the volunteer screening process has been completed, the City staff will provide training and equipment to Snow Angel Volunteers to assist people who are unable to shovel their own adjacent City sidewalks due to physical disabilities or restrictions.
